Nao
The elegant Nao An Angel's Prayer figurine captures a graceful angel in an attitude of contemplative meditation. The piece is poised and lovely, with sweeping lines and an elongated design that creates a subtle otherworldly air. Made from fine porcelain in the famed Lladro studios of Spain, the piece is painted by hand and exquisitely detailed. Feathery brushwork on the wings and soft but sure facial features are among its best traits. Throughout, the figurine's colors are soft and soothing, and a glossy glaze overall adds a light gleam. Though markedly tall, the piece has an airy mood, making it suitable for display on glass shelving. Stamped with the Nao hallmark on its underside, the sculpture stands approximately 12 inches high. --Emily Bedard -
