Perfect for taking from the oven directly to the table, this French-style, 9-inch oval au gratin dish is made of thick stoneware and has a gleaming transparent glaze. Its rustic, handmade appeal is heightened by the piping around the dish's rim and identically colored random spotting inside and out. The dish holds one or two servings of any food that can be baked or broiled, such as macaroni and cheese, apple cobbler, and stuffed peppers.
